My family has a little cabin atop the mountain in the fourth picture below.
The two hills are filled with such rich history. Missionaries came about them towards the end of the 19th century, and asked the Japanese government
for permission to lease the land to use as a retreat center for
missionaries in the summer. The government granted them 999 years.
